City Wide Finds (“City Wide Finds,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a trade name of Field Craft Labs, LLC. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and otherwise process information when you access or use our website, applications, products, features, content, communications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
1. Scope and Applicability
This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect:
- when you visit, browse, search, or otherwise use the Services;
- when you create, access, secure, or manage an account;
- when you create, edit, publish, archive, or remove a garage sale, yard sale, rummage sale, estate sale, moving sale, or similar listing;
- when you organize, participate in, administer, or browse a community sale event;
- when you upload or submit photos, descriptions, addresses, dates, times, categories, notes, CSV files, and other content;
- when you save favorites, create routes, use map-based features, and interact with sale listings or event pages;
- when you communicate with us, submit support inquiries, join a waitlist, request information, or otherwise correspond with us; and
- when information is collected automatically through cookies, local storage, analytics tools, logs, pixels, scripts, and similar technologies.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, applications, services, social media platforms, advertising networks, maps providers, routing providers, analytics vendors, payment providers, or other third parties that may be linked from, embedded in, or integrated with the Services and that are governed by their own terms, notices, and privacy policies.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect the following categories of information.
A. Information You Provide Directly
We may collect information you voluntarily provide to us, including:
- your first and last name;
- username, screen name, display name, or alias;
- email address;
- password and authentication-related information, stored in hashed, encrypted, tokenized, or otherwise protected form where applicable;
- account profile information and settings;
- listing content, including titles, descriptions, item categories, sale types, dates, hours, pricing information, notes, and other details;
- listing addresses, event addresses, city names, ZIP codes, neighborhoods, and location references;
- community sale organizer information and participant information;
- CSV upload content or structured bulk-upload data;
- photos, images, media, captions, and metadata associated with uploaded files;
- favorites, bookmarks, personal notes, saved searches, route-planning selections, and similar user-generated preferences;
- customer service requests, feedback, survey responses, testimonials, reviews, or other communications; and
- any other information you choose to provide through the Services.
B. Information Collected Automatically
When you access or use the Services, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including:
- IP address;
- approximate geolocation derived from IP address;
- browser type and version;
- device type, operating system, device identifiers, language settings, and regional settings;
- network information and connection details;
- referring URLs, exit pages, clickstream data, pages viewed, page response times, timestamps, and session activity;
- interactions with listings, event pages, blog content, map views, route tools, favorites, notes, and search features;
- crash logs, diagnostic information, error reports, performance metrics, and security logs; and
- cookie identifiers, session identifiers, local storage values, and related persistent or temporary identifiers.
C. Location Information
Because the Services are location-oriented, we may collect and process location-related information, including:
- approximate location inferred from your IP address;
- location information you manually enter, such as address, neighborhood, city, state, or ZIP code;
- listing and event addresses you choose to publish or store;
- coordinates, map positions, and routing information derived from location queries; and
- more precise device location, but only if you affirmatively grant permission through your browser or device and the applicable feature is enabled.
If you decline location permissions, certain location-dependent features may not function fully or at all.
D. Publicly Available Content You Choose to Publish
If you submit content intended for publication, that content may be made publicly available through listing pages, event pages, map interfaces, blog-adjacent features, search results, or other public portions of the Services. Public content may include:
- sale or event title;
- address or mapped location;
- dates and times;
- item categories and descriptions;
- photos and media;
- organizer-related information you choose to display; and
- any other information you elect to include in public content.
Please do not include sensitive personal information in public content unless you knowingly choose to do so and understand that public content may be visible to the general public, copied, cached, indexed by search engines, archived, republished, screenshotted, or shared by third parties.
E. Information From Third Parties
We may receive information from third parties, including:
- map, routing, geocoding, and address-autocomplete providers;
- hosting, cloud infrastructure, storage, and content delivery providers;
- analytics, attribution, logging, fraud detection, spam prevention, and security vendors;
- email delivery and communications providers;
- identity providers and social login services, if enabled;
- advertising, referral, or marketing partners, if used;
- organizers, participants, or other users who interact with you or upload data relating to you; and
- publicly available sources where legally permissible.
3. How We Use Information
We may use personal information and other information for the following purposes:
- to provide, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, improve, and secure the Services;
- to register, authenticate, administer, and protect user accounts;
- to create, host, display, and manage sale listings, event pages, maps, routes, bookmarks, notes, and related features;
- to process content uploads, including photos, descriptions, participant rosters, and CSV file imports;
- to personalize content, search results, maps, and location-based functionality;
- to communicate with you regarding account activity, support, updates, security matters, legal notices, and service-related information;
- to detect, investigate, prevent, and remediate spam, fraud, scraping, abuse, bots, unauthorized access, and other misuse;
- to enforce our Terms of Use, community rules, content guidelines, and legal rights;
- to analyze usage patterns, measure product performance, and improve user experience;
- to comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests, court orders, subpoenas, or regulatory inquiries;
- to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims;
- to protect the rights, property, safety, and security of City Wide Finds, our users, and third parties; and
- for any other purpose disclosed at the time of collection or otherwise permitted by applicable law.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
To the extent applicable law requires us to identify a legal basis for processing personal information, we may process information based on:

- the performance of a contract with you or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract;
- compliance with legal obligations;
- our legitimate interests in operating, securing, improving, and defending the Services, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights where required by law; and

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We may disclose information in the following circumstances:
A. Public Disclosure Through the Services
Information included in public listings, public event pages, map displays, blog-adjacent public content, and similar features may be disclosed publicly to users, visitors, search engines, and the general public.
B. Service Providers and Contractors
We may disclose information to vendors, contractors, consultants, and service providers that perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, storage, content delivery, analytics, logging, mapping, routing, geocoding, email delivery, security, customer support, and fraud prevention.
C. Business Transfers
We may disclose, transfer, or assign information in connection with an actual or contemplated merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, asset sale, diligence process, or similar corporate transaction.
D. Compliance, Protection, and Law Enforcement
We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary or appropriate to:
- comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, subpoena, court order, or lawful governmental request;
- enforce our agreements, policies, or rights;

7. Data Retention

- provide and maintain the Services;
- maintain accounts and account integrity;
- preserve active, archived, or administrative records relating to listings and events;
- comply with legal, tax, accounting, regulatory, and operational obligations;
- resolve disputes and enforce agreements;
- maintain security logs and anti-abuse records; and
- protect the Services, our business, users, and third parties.
Retention periods will vary based on the nature of the information, the context in which it was collected, operational necessity, applicable legal requirements, and whether deletion has been requested. We may retain aggregated, anonymized, or deidentified information for longer periods or indefinitely where permitted by law.
8. Data Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, destruction, alteration, or disclosure. Such measures may include authentication controls, encryption in transit, access restrictions, monitoring, logging, backups, rate limits, and other security practices.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, no Internet transmission or data storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, we cannot and do not warrant absolute security.
You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials, securing your devices, and promptly notifying us of any suspected unauthorized access or misuse involving your account.
9. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:
- request access to certain personal information we maintain about you;
- request correction of inaccurate personal information;
- request deletion of personal information, subject to exceptions;
- request a portable copy of certain personal information;
- object to or restrict certain processing activities;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
- appeal a privacy rights decision where required by applicable law.

10. U.S. State Privacy Notice
Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional rights regarding their personal information. To the extent applicable law applies, City Wide Finds will honor qualifying requests to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, and to opt out of certain processing activities to the extent required by law.
City Wide Finds does not sell personal information for money. If our practices are deemed to involve “sharing,” “targeted advertising,” or similar regulated processing under applicable law, we will provide the disclosures and opt-out rights required by law.
Authorized agents may submit requests on behalf of consumers where permitted by law and subject to verification requirements.
11. Children’s Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate authorization where required by law. If you believe a child has provided personal information in violation of applicable law, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
12. Third-Party Services, Links, and Integrations
The Services may rely upon or integrate with third-party services such as mapping providers, geocoding or routing providers, hosting platforms, cloud storage providers, analytics services, communications vendors, authentication providers, and embedded tools. Those third parties may collect, receive, or process information in accordance with their own privacy notices and contractual arrangements.
We are not responsible for the privacy, security, availability, or practices of third parties except as required by law.
13. International Data Transfers
If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate. Those jurisdictions may not provide the same level of data protection as your home jurisdiction.
Where required by applicable law, we will implement appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.
14. Deidentified, Aggregate, and Statistical Information
We may create, use, disclose, and retain deidentified, anonymized, aggregated, or statistical information for lawful business purposes, including analytics, operational reporting, research, benchmarking, product improvement, and security, provided such information does not identify you personally or is maintained in deidentified form as required by law.
15. Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is not always a universally accepted industry standard for interpreting such signals, we may not respond to them unless required by applicable law.
16. Sensitive Information Warning
Please do not upload, post, or publish sensitive personal information in public listings or public event pages, including government identification numbers, financial account numbers, payment card data, health information, or information about children, unless expressly requested by the Services for a lawful and clearly disclosed purpose. Public listing features are not intended for publication of sensitive personal information.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time in our sole discretion. When we do, we will post the revised version and update the “Last Updated” date above. If applicable law requires additional notice, we may also provide notice through the Services or by email.
Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of a revised Privacy Policy constitutes your acknowledgment of the updated Privacy Policy to the extent permitted by law.
